Free MMS Proxy

On your Mobile Handset/Device in the Mobile networks/APN/Connectivity/Connections settings change the Proxy/Server/ Relay details to our MMS Proxy/Server/Relay DomainName which is mmsproxy.net ( alternatively you can specify the Proxy as IP address instead of the DomainName as 209.160.66.215 ), along with the standard mms port 9200 or port 9201 or Wireless HTTP Proxy port 8080. The port you should use, as well as setup instructions, vary from phone to phone.

In a nutshell if your device supports WAP v1.1 to v1.3 versions then you need to connect to port 9200 or port 9201 and if your device supports WAP v2.0 (HTTP) version then you need to port 8080.

Mobile Phone Settings:

Most operators have at least two different APNs, the default WAP APN (ex. VodaFone Live whoose APN is "wap.vodafone.co.uk") provides a limited connectivity that can only make connections through the operator's WAP gateway. Mostly this is enabled by default on the SIM card. They also have another Internet APN that provides full internet connectivity (ex. VodaFone Mobile Connect whoose APN is "internet"). To use an external MMS Proxy/Server/Relay, you need to use an APN that provides full internet connectivity.

You just need to change the settings in the mobile phone so that it can receive messages from external MMSCs. This is usually just a matter of changing the MMS APN to your GPRS APN which provides full internet connectivity and the MMS Proxy address to our DomainName in the MMS settings. You could change them to match the similar settings already configured for the browser/internet settings, which allows access to external sites.

You need to make changes in the following 3 MMS Access Point settings:

1. Change APN to full internet connectivity (ex. VodaFone Mobile Connect whoose APN is "internet")

2. Change Proxy/Relay to mmsproxy.net ( alternatively you can specify the Proxy as IP address instead of the DomainName as 209.160.66.215 )

3. Change Proxy/Relay Port to Wireless HTTP Proxy port 8080 OR Connectionless (port 9200) and Connection Oriented (port 9201) WAP modes depending on your handset.

Keep the Username and Password fields blank/empty. They are not required for our MMS Proxy/Relay.

You may not use this MMS proxy/server/relay for spam, any illegal purpose, or if your wireless service provider forbids you from using an alternative MMS Proxy/MMS Server/MMS Relay.
